Meet Wes White

Wes has 40+ years safety experience beginning with ski patrol during college. After college Wes did time in the Army serving during the Vietnam period. After his military career Wes was a counselor at the Nevada Correctional School for boys and later began his mining career in 1980 with the Drill and Blast Crew at Jerritt Canyon in Elko. Wes then moved on to become an equipment operator, learning to expertly operate most of the equipment on the mine site. 

He also was involved developing teams and structuring working environments. He was an active member of the Mine Rescue Team, involved with training for first aid, securing the site, triaging, rope rescue, confined space rescue and later becoming Captain. In his career he has been responsible for equipment operation and maintenance, held the positions of team leader, shift supervisor, EMS Coordinator, Loss Control and Safety Manager.

He has been responsible for team building, first aid training, site auditing and safety compliance. He is an authorized instructor, for MSHA surface and underground operations including NFPA Fire Safety Training and rail safety, as well as an authorized instructor for OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses. Wes is a MSHA and OSHA standards of operation and training resource for many nationwide companies.
